Well, let me explain the situation. First you have to know some things.

I play on a stitty old laptop (acer extensa 5620z, upgraded to 3 gb ram, HD screen). This means I can't play anything without lag (except some really old games like the early Age of Empires, Stronghold and Heroes of Might and Magic 3 (also known as Heroes 3)).

The next thing you have to know is, we have a super computer. Epic graphics card (bought for me so I can play Skyrim) and epic ram. The thing is, I can't use it free. It's not in my room and my parents don't like shotting games (like TF2, Half Life games, ... (but Skyrim where you chop of heads and limps is OK...)).
My parents use this computer for checking E-Mails, scanning photos and my mom to play some game sin the internet (you know, like tetris, jenga, ...).

Well, thats the basic things you have to know. Now comes the part where I need your help.

I want to start an discussion with my parents. The result I hope for is, that I get this super epic computer.

Arguments I have so far:
- this laptop sucks because it is very old (6-8 years) and it can't handle much
- I am not happy with this shitty laptop
- they don't need such a good computer for the things I mentioned before, I could use it much better/need good hardware much more
- if they give me this computer I will get them an other one that is not so expensive but good enought for the things i mentioned (are avaiable for 300€)
Edit: ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
- no problems with the connection computer-TV (connected to watch mivies from computer on TV) --> problems with sound
- I don't annoy them with klicking/typing while they watch TV
- I am not annoyed by TV sounds while playing
- space on my table for doing homework (don't have to plug out everything, put laptop away, when finished build up again or I have no space to do my homework (ehich is true, because the table is full and I never put the lappi away))

The part where you can help me is:
1. What do you think about my arguments
2. do you have other good arguments
3. tips for me how I shoud do this (order of arguments, time to start a good argument, ...)

I never began a discussion for something like this and when I do, I want to bomb them away with good arguments so they can't say no.

ALL tips are welcome!!!

Why did they buy a such good computer if they don't use it what it is built for?
They can have your crappy, shitty, old laptop to check their e-mails on.
You can ask them if you can buy that epic computer, and they can get your laptop. :3

Actually it's an older computer but it is still great. The grafhics card was a birthday present so I can play Skyrim.

All i can say is; talk to them, healthy conversation is worth a million...
