I think it should be, for a couple of reasons:

First off, English is the most common language and the majority of people can understand and speak it, at least decently. By speaking a different language (which is most likely to a select group of people) others cannot understand what people are saying, and it is annoying. For unity, I think that it should be mandatory to speak English at least most of the time.

Second reason is simply that admins have to be able to read what people say. For all we know people could be offending others or something. You could argue that if people can't understand it it doesn't harm anyways, but still. I think that if you have something to say that you can say it when everybody can understand it, otherwise just don't say anything at all.

Of course if somebody cannot understand English very well and needs something explained from somebody else, that's an exception. Aside from that, I think that it would be better if we enforced speaking mostly English on the server, ans I'm curious if people are with me on this.

There should be a rule about speaking English only with mic. You'll never know what people are talking about, mabye they're talking shit about people, insulting people. Speaking a different language than English is OK (I can use Google Translater or other translate thingies to understand what they're writing).

english only is not a bad idea, but the problem is most of the players will say idc and talk in their language

So how about /votemute ? It worked in Valve servers and in communities with votemute too pretty well and with not that much abuse.

I suggested that about a month ago and kevin put it in. On the very same day when I was on the VSH server some donators who thought they were the shit votemuted a harmless kid who was only talking. He was not screaming and he did not have that much of an annoying voice.

It could work if we have a few more admins and voteabuse can be punished, perhaps.

@ Kevin, lol that's what people say about ALL rules. If this one is no different I will just keep doing what I have been doing since I joined this community: tell people to behave themselves or I'll go apeshit on their asses.

It think it's fine chatting they're language, but not speaking it in voice chat

Yea I think I can live with that as long as the chat doesn't get spammed full of non-English stuff.

wauw.... imagine a world where people would understand eachother..... hmmm that would be great.

rule will be added maybe now or during the day on all servers
