Custom RTD Effect for VSH and FF2 (1 Viewer)

Should we in FF2/Saxton Hale etc have a *really rare* RTD (for all players of course) that will let

Hmm... I do kinda like the sound of it. Yea I think I like this.

How would it work though? Would the player get a menu popped up like the one in which you report people, and then they have to select the number of who to respawn?

Secondly, if Hale gets this roll, would the player respawn on his side?

Another question, just how rare will it be? Like 1 in a hundred chance?

If possible of course

maybe 20:100 ? like 1/5 a chance
 
Nope, the player will be assigned to the right team if he isn't yet and only then he'll be respawned.

But there would be an option to not respawn any one at all, in case you roll it as hale

No. Definitely not.
Hale could just go and kill the best player out there or something. Even if it is really rare, it would affect the round too much.

( also I think I'd be the victim of that every damn time... ;-; )

EDIT: 1/5th of a chance is not rare lol. In fact I think that would make it the most common roll of all.
 
Yeah, it might be possible for Hale to kill a person. but will be unbalanced IMO.

I was just imagining for funsies how it would be if it worked like Instant Sentry. First you pick the player from the list, then you press E to spawn him wherever you're looking.
Imagine the possibilities lol. You could pick that one guy you hate and throw him in Hale's face!
 
Oh shit. I just thought of a possible disadvantage to this.
I usually tab out between rounds if there's nobody I would like to spectate, then check back in every so often to see how the round is progressing. What if somebody who is tabbed out gets respawned? That would be pretty suckish.

Although, if it's a friend you're respawning you can warn them in steam chat first.

yeah maybe something popup that the player must accept the respawn or something
 
How about I play a custom sound to just the player who gets respawned?

I think a sound won't help anything, as people who are tabbed out won't notice anyways. Having to accept it is a better idea probably. Though, then how long does he have to accept? And can the rtd'erdecline it and select somebody else if he doesnt respond?
 
Nah, I just think it will be someone's loss to not use the respawn, and that's it. I don't think it will be balanced otherwise.
