How do I get money out of TF2 items (1 Viewer)

I'm kinda (really) tired of spending money on and caring about TF2 items most of which I'll never use. But since Valve designed the "wallet" to be inaccessible if you aren't adding money to it, I can't just walk out of the gambling booth. I'd have to find cracks and leap through windows hoping they aren't on the top floor just to do what so many others have already done. So to save time, sanity, safety, and money I'd like to ask a lot of people all at once: How do I get money out of TF2 items? And hopefully without being scammed.

P.S. I don't know what I'll do with TF2. My guess is I'll enjoy it more when I do play it, but will play much less because it's not a great idea to use TF2 as a third place.

For the unbelievable gifts I don't deserve, I plan to keep them and continue to use them because selling or returning someone's gift would be stupidly rude to the gifter and their intentions.
